Spend an evening with Rhode Island Columbians expanding your wine repertoire to learn about "Volcanic Wines."
Lead by Sommelier Sarah Nagle, our club has an exclusive invite at Wines & More to sample these unique flavors.
Below is a synopsis of this free program offered by Wines & More:
Wines from volcanic soils are often of top quality.
The most famous "volcanic wines" come from Sicily (Mount Etna) and the Naples area (Mount Vesuvius), and are also from other volcanic regions situated along the edges of tectonic plates, including Oregon, New Zealand or Hawaii's Kilauea.
The popular book ‘Volcanic Wines: Salt, Grit and Power,’ published in 2016, provides additional information on the subject.
