The Columbia Business School Alumni Club of Boston is pleased to announce an exciting presentation by CBS Professor Gita Johar. What is creativity, why is it important and how can you cultivate it? How do you create a culture in which creativity thrives? Why does creativity and innovation thrive in some countries more than in others? In this talk, Professor Johar will draw on scientific research on creativity to define the term and to share her ideas on the essence of creativity and innovation. She will discuss ways to enhance creativity in your personal and professional life. Finally, Professor Johar will introduce principles that can help you nurture the creativity of those around you. A networking reception will follow the talk and refreshments will be served. Gita V. Johar (PhD NYU 1993; MBA Indian Institute of Management Calcutta 1985) has been on the faculty of Columbia Business School since 1992 and is currently the Meyer Feldberg Professor of Business. She served as the school’s Senior Vice Dean from 2011 to 2014.
