Ashley Chu, known as "The Krazy Koala", is a travel book author, Youtube creator, former model, entrepreneur, investor and advisor in Silicon Valley and Singapore. Koala is featured on the NBC Bay Area talk show, CNA, Straits Times, and various major media.
She published her first book “550,000 Miles” in December 2017 and received a 5-star review on Amazon.com; subsequently, “One Million Miles” is the second book in the series in April 2020. This is her first book in the series.
By 2012, Koala had completed all "7 New Wonders of the World", as well as the only ancient Wonder of the World that still exists today, the Giza Pyramids. As of December 2017, Koala has traveled 550,000 miles to 77 countries.
Koala's passion for the world and its people led her to put together a collection of her travel journals in these 77 countries to record her experiences and stories with the local people, as well as observations and perspectives about the different societies, economies, politics, culture, education, healthcare and nature.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Media Studies from New York University, a Master’s degree in Statistics from Columbia University, and a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from INSEAD (ranked as the World’s No. 1 MBA by the Financial Times 2017).
