ColumbiaX: The Civil War and Reconstruction with Professor Eric Foner

For 27-weeks starting September 17, 2014, alumni, students, and anyone with an Internet connection around the world can sign up for a series of three free courses on a pivotal era in American history, The Civil War and Reconstruction, taught by Eric Foner, Columbia's Pulitzer-Prize winning history professor and one of the world’s leading experts on 19th-century America.  

The Columbia Alumni Association has partnered with Professor Foner and the Columbia Center for New Media Teaching and Learning (CCNMTL) to bring these EXCLUSIVE videos, interviews, and extended clips from Professor Foner's course for the Columbia alumni community.  

We encourage our alumni to take advantage of this special opportunity to watch these videos as unique independent clips or as a companion pieces to their learning experience on ColumbiaX with Professor Foner.
