Media in the Minefield: Do You Trust Your News?

“Fake News” has been a buzzword ever since the presidential election. It’s been used by both sides and everywhere in between as many organizations have tried to define, understand and work against this troubling term. Meanwhile, it’s left many of us wondering how much we can really trust our usual news sources and Facebook feeds. It’s become a minefield for both media and its consumers. In that spirit, the Columbia Alumni Association of Michigan and the Detroit Press Club bring you an evening of analysis and exploration of current problems that journalists face and what consumers should be aware of as they choose their news sources.
