Columbia Connects Germany + Dinner Speech

Berlin, Germany
Today, we would like to invite you to the last event of the Berlin chapter this year. Professor Dr. Michael Wolffsohn, who has widely published on foreign policy and German-Jewish-Israeli relations, will give a dinner speech in Berlin. It will also be our annual Columbia Connects Day event. Professor Wolffsohn will talk about his latest book, the story of his family which hasn’t been translated yet: “Deutschjudische Gluckskinder - Eine Weltgeschichte meiner Familie”. The talk will be in English. The dinner will take place at Café Lichtburg Restaurant in Wedding which is part of “Garden City Atlantic" (Gartenstadt Atlantik), a historic, interreligious and intercultural apartment complex. Mr. Wolffsohn inherited the complex from his grandfather Karl who was a successful businessman and owner of many cinemas in Berlin before the family fled to Palestine in 1939. In 1954, the family returned to Germany. We have seats for 21 people. Please RSVP by sending an e-mail to by October 1. We will have a nice 3-course-menu (veggie options) which costs, drinks included, 38 Euro per person.
