Data Journalism in the Trump Era with Dean Steve Coll

Washington, DC
Investigative and deep-dive journalism is increasingly important in the era of "fake news." Join us to hear Columbia Journalism School Dean Steve Coll and a panel of DC based journalists on data journalism in the Trump Era and what it is like to cover this administration. Dean Coll is a staff writer at The New Yorker, the author of seven books of nonfiction, and a two-time winner of the Pulitzer Prize. Keith Alexander is a Columbia Alum and Washington Post reporter and will be one of the journalists on the panel. Alexander covers crime and courts, specifically D.C. Superior Court cases for The Washington Post. Alexander was part of the Pulitzer Prize winning team that investigated fatal police shootings across the nation in 2015.
