Explore the Future of Journalism with
Fellow Columbians

Will there be any newspapers left in the year 2020? Explore the future of the fourth estate with the Columbia University Club of Southwest Florida and Professor Todd Gitlin from Columbia’s Graduate School of Journalism as he discusses Journalism’s Many Crises.

The landscape of American journalism has changed, is changing, and will continue to change—radically. Just because the industry is crying wolf does not mean that the wolf is not nearby.

Todd Gitlin is a professor of journalism and sociology, and chair of the PhD program in communications at Columbia University. He joined Columbia after holding positions at NYU and Berkeley.
