Art Basel Miami Beach Art Basel Miami Beach

CAA heads to South Beach each December for Art Basel Miami Beach, where alumni learn with Columbia experts, gain access to special events, and energize the Columbia connection in South Florida.

The Columbia Alumni Association (CAA), in partnership with the School of the Arts, celebrates alumni, filmmakers, and friends at the Sundance Film Festival. Don't miss this year's festivities in Park City, and please let us know if your film is in the festival.

Barcelona 2011 CAA in Barcelona | May 2011

Alumni gathered in Barcelona for a weekend full of the city's architecture, art, culture, and cuisine with faculty guides and alumni experts. CAA in Barcelona continued the CAA Global experience of insider access, exclusive opportunities, and Columbia connections around the world. Mark your calendars for CAA Global in Istanbul, May 2012.

Unlocking Creativity Unlocking Creativity

The CAA Assembly Weekend 2010 launched with a panel at Home of Jazz at Lincoln Center, featuring President Lee C. Bollinger and notable alumni discussing what inspires creativity, how to develop craft, and how Columbia contributes to creative development. Panelists include actor Brian Dennehy '60CC, composer Tom Kitt '96CC, and writer Asali Solomon '95BC.

 

Each year the CAA celebrates Columbia's prodigal sons, Allen Ginsberg and Jack Kerouac, with readings, music, and more. Last year's HOWL included the David Amram Trio, writer Joyce Johnson, Professor Ann Douglas, poet David Shapiro '68CC, '73GSAS, and a cast of dozens.
